Is the action in Afghanistan going south ( Bad ) for the USA military?

KABUL – Four more Americans were killed Monday when a roadside bomb exploded in eastern Afghanistan, NATO said, making July the deadliest month ever for U.S. troops in this war. The American troops are saying "If the Russian military can't beat the Afghans then why is it the USA military thinks they can win".
