Is there any limit to human depravity?

There was an orphanage call Mount Cashel run by Catholic Christian Brothers in a city called St. John's in a country called Newfoundland. In this place the Brothers molested young boys for decades before a few of these boys who survived this heinous brutalization came forward and exposed what happened (There is even a movie loosely based on these events called "The Boys of St. Vincent's--the film-makers were as honestt as they could be so the film is quite disturbing). Subsequently, the orphanage was closed. The land was purchased by probably the largest "grocery-based" chain in Newfoundland. They built a strip mall on top of the site (if I had a soul left typing that would have killed it quite a bit). What kind of people buy up the land where 100's of young boys were brutalized and plop a business on top of it.
