Should teens be required to get parental consent for "medical" procedures?

most states have these laws to ensure that children do not make what they consider to be mistakes. But as we all know it is just the government playing politics, trust me I live in a state that allows next to nothing the basics rights are all but being abolished right in front of our own eyes. As for what age a person should be able decide for themselves and their wellbeing in my personal opinion is 16, this is when it is legal in most states to drive. 18 or 21 is no longer an option whereas there are so many under this age that do sustain life on their own due to cirstances beyond their control. It should be an individual right, right?
