Hard acceleration on "D" or on "L" gear? Accelerate hard with "L" gear only and shift to "D" soon as the car starts moving. That way, you are using the low gear band, which gives a stronger hold, instead of the one-way clutch for the first gear in the automatics. Anyways, it makes no different, the trany is short. Trade in with a rebuild.
